WHEN WILL MY REPORTING TIME BE?
Please check the event schedule. The registration counter will be open from 7:30 am onwards.  We strongly recommend that you report yourself 2 hours before your race start time, as Laser Shooting training will be provided.

 

 

WHAT WILL I COLLECT DURING THE REGISTRATION?
You will receive the following:
  1) Race BIB

  2) Goodie bag from GetActive! Singapore

  3) Race T-Shirt (can choose to wear during the race)

 

 

WHERE CAN I PUT MY BELONGINGS DURING THE RACE?
If you wish you keep your belongings during the race, please approach our Storage Guardian.
2 SIMPA tags will be issued.  Please write your name, and tag one piece to your belongings, and the other piece to claim your belongings after the race.
Please note that the storage space is strictly for athletes' and officers' usage.
SIMPA will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to your belongings.

 

 

WHERE AND WHEN CAN I DO THE TRAINING FOR LASER SHOOTING?
The training for Laser Shooting for each category will be opened 2 hours before the race time for each category.  Shooting Trainers will be there to guide you.

 

 

CAN I DO WARM UP IN THE FIELD OF PLAY (FOP)?
Yes, but only 10 - 15 mins before the race.  Event Director will open the field to the athletes participating in the next race.
During the warm up period, athletes may run and shoot an unlimited number of shots.
The Shooting Director will inform the athletes the remaining time (the last 5 minutes, the last minute and final 30 seconds) of the warm up session.
Athletes must assemble at the start line right after the warm up session is over.

 

 

HOW DOES THE RACE START?
The start is always a pack start, the Starter will give the start signal.

 

 

WHAT IF THERE IS A FALSE START?
The Starter/Announcer will announce if there is any athlete who has started too early.  10 seconds penalty will be imposed to the athlete who commits the false start.

 

 

WHAT SPECIAL RULES DO I NEED TO KNOW IN SHOOTING?
Your Laser Pistol needs to touch the table between each shot.
You have 50 seconds to get 5 green lights.
If after 50 seconds you don’t have all 5 green lights, you can leave the Shooting area and proceed to run, but not before.  Otherwise, a 10-second penalty will be imposed. You will be stopped by Range Officer or Last-Penalty Officer, to payoff the 10 seconds penalty.

 

 

WHAT IF THE LASER PISTOL/TARGET MALFUNCTIONS DURING THE COMPETITION?
Raise up your hand to get attention from Range Officer, and he/she will permit you to change to a reserved shooting station (R1/R2).
If the Laser Pistol/target in the Reserved Shooting Station (R1/R2) does not work as well, the athlete must wait at the Shooting Station until the 50 second shooting time has expired before starting to run.

 

 

WHAT IS LAST PENALTY?
Most of the 10-seconds penalty will be paid off /served in the Shooting Station.  However, there will be a special penalty area located half way between the Shooting Range and the Finish Line, guarded by 2 judges, to apply penalties that cannot be applied at the Shooting Station, before finishing the race.

 

 

HOW DOES THE RACE FINISH?
Athletes will be timed and placed in the order of reaching the Finish Line.
The first athlete who crosses the Finish Line will be the winner of the competition.
Top 3 athletes in your race category will receive medals.

 

 

WHEN CAN I COLLECT MY FINISHER MEDAL?
Please approach the Registration Counter after the victory ceremony of your category completed.
